What is a Wellness Plan? Is this Pet Insurance?
Wellness plans are not insurance. Instead they are preventative care plans that bundle routine services like exams, vaccines and wellness diagnostic tests into affordable monthly payments. Think of it as a payment plan for all of the recommended services your pet needs every year. We have plans for every life stage – Puppy/Kitten, Adult and Senior – and each plan is tailored to what your pet needs.
Optional Add-On Plans
We offer add-on plans to cover routine procedures like spay or neuter, and dental cleaning. We also have an add-on plan to cover a year’s supply of recommended heartworm/flea and tick prevention medications. These add-on plans are priced according to your pet’s weight and will be available during the enrollment process. You must enroll your pet in one of the core plans in order to select the add-on plans. If you decide you want to enroll in the add-on after your initial enrollment is complete, please contact Snout support.
How does billing work?
Your plan price is locked in for the entire year – and there’s no sign up fee or credit check! The card you have on file with Snout will be charged for your membership fee every month. When you visit the clinic, your plan covered items will be paid for by Snout. If you receive services not included in your plan, Snout will charge your card on file, unless payment is taken in the clinic. You’ll receive emailed receipts after each visit.
Unlimited exams – what does that mean?
It’s not just for Wellness Exams either –Medical Progress Evaluations or Recheck Appointments, and even Urgent Care exams are covered too!
Can I use my plan at other clinics?
No – these plans are custom designed by our doctors and follow their recommendations. You can however use your plan at either of our locations!
Can I cancel my plan?
Plans are a 12 month commitment. Cancellations are only permitted for certain circumstances and a $25 cancellation fee may be charged. The balance of plan services used will be due upon cancellation.
Will my plan renew?
Yes – plans will automatically renew the following year. You will receive information regarding your plan renewal via email 30 days prior to the end of your current plan period from Snout. You can make adjustments to your plan selection if needed during that 30 day period by contacting Snout Support.

*Taxes are not included in plan pricing. If there is tax on your invoice your card on file will be charged for tax (unless payment is collected in the clinic) – even if the tax is associated with a plan covered item.
