What to Expect

At scheduling for every new client, we require a deposit of $25.00. This $25 deposit will go toward your upcoming appointment. If your appointment is not canceled within our required 24 hour cancellation period or your appointment is deemed a no-show, your deposit is non-refundable. In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you should expect high-quality care as well as great service. Our commitment to you is to offer our world-class service and a state of the art veterinary facility. The veterinarians and staff at Ottawa Animal Hospital are ready to provide your pet with cutting edge veterinary medical care. From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures, your furry family member will receive high-quality care at our hospital.

We stress the importance of annual preventative care and recommend all pets have an exam done annually. Your pet’s annual veterinary appointment will include a total physical exam, checking everything from your pet’s nose to their tail. Annual exams and testing such as fecal screening and blood work will keep your pet happy and healthy and could help potentially detect any diseases as early as possible.

We are an American Animal Hospital Association accredited hospital, which means that we voluntarily adhere to over 945 standards for veterinary excellence. This is not something that is required in veterinary medicine, but something we chose to do in order to better serve our clients and patients. 

We are a practice that believes in implementing protocols to make your pets visit as stress-free as possible. In order to do this, we use a lot of treats! Please bring your pet hungry and bring along their favorite treats from home. If you or your pet has any food allergies, please let us know before your visit.
