No Show Policy
Effective January 1st, 2022
To best serve all our clients & patients, we will be updating our cancellation & appointment no-show policy as of January 2022. To be respectful of the medical needs of our community, please call promptly if you are unable to attend your appointment. If you must cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your timely cancelation will give another patient access to our medical care.
Canceling An Appointment:
To cancel an appointment, please call (616) 396-7420 or (616) 399-2540. Please leave us a detailed message if you reach our voicemail.
No Show Policy
A “no-show” is someone who misses an appointment without canceling 24 business hours in advance of their scheduled appointment. For example, if your appointment is at 3 pm on Tuesday, you would need to call us by 3 pm on Monday to cancel. A failure to present at the time of your scheduled appointment will be recorded in your chart as a “no-show”. The first time there is a “no show”, you will be sent a letter alerting you to the fact that you have failed to show up for an appointment or did not cancel within the required timeframe. If there is a second “no show”, a fee of $25.00 will be billed to your account, and an invoice will be sent to your home. This fee covers administrative tasks associated with your appointment. This fee will need to be paid in full before scheduling any future appointments. Three “no shows” in a 12-month period will result in a requirement of pre-paying an exam fee for future appointments.
New clients will lose their $25.00 appointment deposit if an appointment is not canceled within 24 hours or there is a no-show.
We appreciate your understanding as we navigate new protocols that will help us best care for all of our beloved patients.
